American Legend Auction Reports – March 2017

 

 

March 11: American Legend Auction Sales concluded on a strong note.

 

American Legend’s March auction concluded today with the sale of Blackglama, Mahogany, Pastel, Palomino and Cross mink females. Once again, Blackglama experienced excellent demand with prices advancing 5-10% above recent North American auctions. Mahogany and Palomino females were firm to recent auctions while the Pastels met with very selective demand.

 

Top Lots

The top lot of Blackglama females was purchased by Mechutan Fur Corporation for Tsoukas Bros. & Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Krieger Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Mahogany females was purchased by Angelo Tzelkos for Mario Furs of Dubai and Kastoria, and was produced by Westwood-Harris-Gengel.

The top lot of American Legend Pastel females was purchased by D.C. Jang of Dong Woo Fur Co. Ltd., Korea, and was produced by Lichty Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Palomino females was purchased by J.L. Lee of Tae Rim Fur Co. Ltd., Korea, and was produced by Rees Fur Farm

March 10, 2017 – ALC Auction Continues with Strong Demand

 

American Legend continued the March auction today with the offering of Blackglama, Mahogany, Pastel, Palomino and Cross mink males. Strong demand for Blackglama males created fierce competition among the Greek and Chinese markets resulting in prices advancing 5-10% compared to recent North American auctions. An outstanding collection of Mahogany males followed with prices advancing up to 10% on better quality and larger sizes. Palominos sold 100% to China, Korea,

Greece, Italy and Russia at prices firm to recent international auctions. Pastels met some price resistance and sold 74% due to auction house limits. Black and Silverblue Cross types sold 100% at prices firm to recent auctions.

The top lot of Blackglama males was purchased byMechutan Fur Corporation for Tsoukas Bros. & Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Blanke Wachter-Pagel.

The top lot of American Legend Mahogany males was purchased by Manolis Athanasios and Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Ball Bros.

The top lot of American Legend Pastel males was purchased by Qinshuai Fur Co. Ltd., China, and was produced by Lichty Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Palomino males was purchased by Tae Rim Fur Co. Ltd., Korea, and was produced by Rees Fur Farm.

The American Legend March auction began today with the offering of White, Sapphire, Blue Iris, Violet, Lavender and Peach male and female mink. A large diverse buying crowd competed actively resulting in advancing prices in most color types. Buying throughout the mutation colors was widespread with China, Greece, Korea and Russia was especially active.

The top lot of American Legend White females was purchased by Sun Hee Cho, Sungjin Fur Co., Korea, and was produced by Mildbrand Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Sapphire males was purchased by Aifuren Fur, China, and was produced by J & G Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Sapphire females was purchased by Power of Fur, Dnipro, Ukraine, and was produced by J & G Fur Farm.

The top lot of American Legend Iris males was purchased by Daritt, Moscow, Russia, and was produced by Thang-Delany-Brecke.

The top lot of American Legend Iris females was purchased by Avanti Furs, Kastoria Greece, and was produced by Thang-Delany-Brecke.

The top lot of American Legend Violet males was purchased by TIANZUO First Lady, China, and was produced by Stahl-Salo-West Bay.
