Building on three years of successful partnership, Kopenhagen Fur has created a new award at Tsinghua University this year. The award, called Young Fur Designer Award was handed out during the ongoing China International Fashion Week to two outstanding fashion design students who have shown great talent and enthusiasm in fur design.

The two winners Ms. Fu Xiaojiao and Mr. Liu Jialong will be sponsored by Kopenhagen Fur to visit and study at Kopenhagen Studio this June. Besides, Tsinghua-Kopenhagen Fur Outstanding Student Scholarship was presented to four students, each receiving 5,000 yuan. All six students and their 20 classmates have participated in fur technique and design courses by Kopenhagen Fur.

Mr. Wang Qing, chairman of China Fashion Designers Association, and Mr. Li Dangqi, president of the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, presented the prizes together with Mr. Chen Weixian, area manager of Kopenhagen Fur.

Tsinghua-Kopenhagen Fur Studio started operation in Janaury 2007 and remains the only fur studio in the Chinese design schools. Kopenhagen Fur has constantly strived to assist Tsinghua University in developing courses related to fur design and technique, and offering furs and related raw materials for students to practice and design their graduation works. Students trained by Tsinghua-Kopenhagen Studio have topped in series of national fur design competitions.
